  • Handicaps

Description goes Handicaps will be based on lowest handicap as of July 1, 2023, members handicaps 90%, guests handicaps 80%.

In addition, the tournament handicap rule is still in effect for this event for RH members and guests. Please be advised that all handicaps are subject to modification at any time by the Handicap Committee and there is no appeal from any modification.

It is the intent of the Stampede Committee to ensure a fair and level playing field for this event and we are confident that all participants will welcome and appreciate any such efforts on behalf of the entire field. This will result in a fair and equitable competition and one where all participants will gladly drink a toast after the event to the Stampede Champions!

  • Calcutta

This year the Calcutta will be broken down into two flights; flights will be determined by the Calcutta Team’s total combined handicap after the Committee has done the blind draw pairings.

Flight 1 will consist of half of the teams with the lowest total combined handicap and

Flight 2 will consist of the other half. Payouts will be made on a daily and total basis for each Flight and (depending on the number of teams) will be paid to the top four teams per flight.

  • Stampede Shootout

The Stampede Champions (who will receive the trophies and have their names enshrined as Stampede Champions) will be determined by a Shootout after the conclusion of Saturday’s play.

The Shootout will consist of the top two finishers (plus ties) in each Flight, (there are FOUR flights) in an alternate shot format. After two holes of cumulative scoring, the top eight teams will survive, with two teams eliminated per hole thereafter until we are down to two teams.

Ties will be decided by chip and putt-off. Strokes will be determined based upon the combined handicap of the team, divided in two and then wheeling off the lowest handicapped team.

The final two teams will play two holes of aggregate scoring and the Champion will be the team with the lowest total score. In the event of a tie, the teams will continue to play additional holes until we have a Champion!
